XPS 8930, power switch wiring
For reasons I'll skip, I need to add a push button in parallel with the on off button installed on the tower. there are 4 wires, green, blue, black and a light brown or red wire. Which 2 are the on off power.. I assume the other 2 or for the led light in the button..

If you want to wire a separate parallel power switch to the front panel header on motherboard, this thread offers detailed pin out for your reference.
On the XPS 8930 motherboard FP header (x is blank), pin 6 is pwr button, pin 5 and 8 are ground.

Trying to figure out your reply. Can you better explain the 4 wires, which is power pair and which is the LED built in light. I studied the link you provided but didn't find the answer. The connector that goes to the mother board is only 4 pin connector
thanks
