XPS 8930 vs Precision Workstation T3420
I trying to figure out which of these to purchase. I have a quote for $1,262.95 directly from Dell for the Precision:
Dell Precision Workstation T3420
- 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7500 (Quad Core 3.4GHz, 3.8Ghz Turbo, 6MB, w/ HD Graphics 630)
- 16GB (2X8GB) 2400 MHz DDR4 UDIMM Non-ECC
- 2.5" 128 GB SATA Class 20 Solid State Drive
- 1TB 2.5 inch SATA (7,200 Rpm) Hard Drive
vs
This from Costco for $1,099.99.
Why is the Precision more expensive for what seems to be less PC?

The Precision has multiple PCI-E video slots AND can hold much more ram and has optional 850W power supply (But is called a 3620 Tower then) and and and.

The Precision line is one of Dell's high end commercial business/workstation PC's. Generally, they are more robust than the consumer line PC's. Your application would help dictate which one you want/need.
