XPS 8950 has glitches

Hello,

I just received my XPS 8950. I'm concerned about it's performance and wanted to see how many others were having the same issue before I contacted support.

1. The fan seems really loud. It constantly hum from high to low and gives me a headache.

2. It wouldn't turn on at all the other day. I had to unplug everything, hold down the power button, and then plug everything back in. It started back up but the OS was extremely glitchy until I ran a BIOS update.

3. It starts ok now but just today when I started it I had pixels on my monitor. I had to restart to make the pixels go away.

This seems like a lot of glitches for a computer that's about a week old. Does it seem like I got a lemon?

If you have liquid cooling the pump can be noisy, even at idle. The pixel thing could be related to a graphics driver. If you have a graphics card, try the latest drivers from the manufactures website. If you're still having issues, post the specs of your PC and hopefully the people on this forum can get these issues figured out.

Does not sound normal. Fans should be quiet at idle. Booting and shutdown should happen without drama as well.

My XPS 8950 is only noisy when the fans on on video card start running. Usually this when I am doing something that is graphic intensive.
