XPS 8950, onboard Intel UHD Graphics is disabled
Received my XPS 8950 a few days ago. I am very pleased with it overall. It’s a powerful, quiet PC.
Specs: i9-12900K, RTX 3060 ti, 128 GB DDR5 ram, liquid cooling.
The onboard Intel UHD Graphics is not enabled. It does not show up in BIOS or Device Manager. There is a DP and when I connected my monitor to that port, just to see if it was working, the error message said something to the effect of: “Onboard graphics have bee disabled on this PC. Power off and connect to discrete GPU”
I have searched through all BIOS settings and there is no option to enable the onboard video. It’s not even listed.
How do I enable the onboard Intel UHD Graphics? Onboard graphics would be required if I need to boot to safe mode for any reason.
Here is a photo of BIOS showing only the RTX 3060 as available.

I fixed it myself. Manually download the 1.0.13 version BIOS and flash it, then there appears a new option in BIOS which names "Intel multi-screen" (if my memory is correct). Just enable it and then reboot. The device manger shows two GPUs now. Both working with external displays.

If you'd need to use both discrete and on-board video, in BIOS go under Power Settings >> Advanced >> Intel Multi-Display and choose "Enable"

That's the issue, there is no such option in BIOS. Several other options are also not there, such as wi-fi, virtualization, etc. Anyone else with an XPS 8950 and BIOS 1.0.12 missing several options as well? Page 64 of the service manual lists what should be there https://dl.dell.com/content/manual30492141-xps-8950-service-manual.pdf?language=en-us&ps=true

I've had a very similar problem where I booted into safe mode with the 3060 plugged in and was met with the Dell BIOS logo and nothing else although Windows had booted. I'd logged that elsewhere but fixed my original problem in another way so am still curious whether it's possible to boot the 8950 into safe mode and successfully see Windows either from the 3060 or onboard graphics - and hopefully without having to physically remove the 3060 as was mentioned in my thread!

Did you find a fix? I'm also suffering from the same issue.

I had this issue. Go to the del support site and download and install the integrated graphics driver.
BOOM ---> Works!
