XPS One 2720, upgrade mSATA SSD, migrate Windows
Hi
I know similar has been discussed but am still confused! Does anyone know of step by step instructions for replacing the 32GB mSATA SSD used as a cache drive on the Dell XPS One 2720, with a larger mSATA SSD and how to migrate my windows installation over to it from the 2TB HDD that it currently resides on?
Is it possible to do this without a complete re-install of Windows 10 (eg via imaging or cloning, with Macrium Reflect for example)?
If I disable acceleration using Intel Rapid Storage Technology am I heading in the right direction?

There isn't any moving from HDD to SSD. You have to remove all drives and reinstall from scratch.

Also have XPS 2720 configured with 30GB ssd used as cache and 2TB SATA disk. On each boot I get an error - "Hard Drive self monitoring reported parameter exceeded its normal range." On a cold boot, the F1 will allow the system to boot. Running the Intel Rapid Storage Technology application. shows the SATA_Array_0001 (solid state drive used as cache drive) is reported at risk of failing.
I am guessing it was not configured to be a boot drive. However, I do not know how to check that.
So - do I need to replace the drive? If I replace I would like to put at least a 64GB drive for cache only. Not interested in making it a boot drive. I have not idea what drive to buy or how to install.

Thanks. I am not looking to put windows on the drive. So, can I just replace the drive? I don't see anywhere that would allow me to format the drive. It would only be for cache.
