XPS 8900, using 220v?

hello. I bought dell xps 8900, and i need to know whether it will work with 220v. I don't see any voltage change switch, but I see a round shaped green light and a small black push button on the back of the power supply. can I just plug in ?

Should be auto-sensing 100-240VAC, 50-60 Hz, 8 amps.

You will need a power cord rated for 220 volts with the correct plug on the mains side.

Hello, I have the similar question here, may I ask in your case does the desktop work properly after you plug into the 220v power supply? Thank you very much !

According to Dell's XPS 8900 specifications at https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_xps_desktop/xps-8900-desktop_reference%20guide_en-us.pdf

Input Voltage: 100 VAC - 240 VAC

Input Frequency: 50Hz - 60Hz

Input Current (max): 8.0A

I called Dell with the same question. Was recommended to buy a step down (220 to 110) volt converter while the specs clearly say 110-240 V and 50-60 Hz. Frustrating answer and, in fact, does not make send. With regard to the power cable: since the wattage is less when using 220V, I would assume other than the plug no changes needed

You should use a power cord that's rated for 220V.  One rated for 110V isn't sufficient, even if it had the right plug on the mains side.

You're not going to cut the plug off the 110V cord and replace it with a 220V plug. So get a 220V cord with the right plug from the get-go.
