Dell XPS 13 9310 graphics driver using generic PNP driver
Hi all
I was just provisioned a Dell XPS 13 9310 from my office. I work from home and use a Samsung 34" Ultrawide Monitor (model 34J552WQXZA) that I purchased from Costco.
I really like this monitor and the laptop shows the display information as S34J55x.
The issue I have is with the Intel(R) Iris(R) graphics card, When I click on the monitor tab it shows the monitor is a Generic PnP Monitor at 60Hz.
I understand my monitor limit is 60hz (HDMI) and 75hz (Display port). WHen I try to stream let's say a Netflix movie in ultra-wide format the picture just doesn't look as good as it should. Something isn't right with the blacks and video processing. I am assuming it is due to the graphic card only using a Generic PnP monitor.
I have downloaded and run the Samsung driver software but it hasn't fixed this issue.
Is this an issue with an out of date bios (running 2.2) or maybe another driver conflict?
Any help is appreciated.
