Dell XPS 13 9380 battery drain

I have a new dell xps 13 and I completely shut down my laptop, after 24 hours I turn on my laptop and i get the critical battery low at start up. i check and its at 3-4% this has happened 3 times now. I shut down the laptop, its not even in sleep mode and its completely unplugged from anything. Laptop is fully charged at 100% before shut down.

Is this normal?

Hello,

I've been experiencing the same problem for the past 3 months as well.

Thanks,

Dells . I have a brand new laptop and while its doing nothing at 50 percent battery life the estimated time is 2 hours remaining?!

everything is up to date as all the techs keep saying yet battery life from what was advertised is a HUGE difference!

I thought HP was bad but dam you guys are terrible and its only day 2 with the laptop!

I am definitely going through the return process. Absolutely disgusted!

If you need to replace a new battery, you can find it from this battery.

Were you able to come across a solution?

I am experiencing the same problems.  This is a expensive piece of junk!  I am going back to Surface Pro.  My 4 year Surface lasts way longer than this brand new Dell.

That happened to me when I first installed Windows 10 to an old laptop. You can try shutting off Fast Startup to see if that will help. There are several power state levels in Windows 10. When you use the normal shut down button off the Start Menu, the computer does not totally shut down. It hibernates the kernel, saving its state so it can boot faster. It is possible that processes could be running while in this state. Another thing you can try before turning off Fast Startup to see if that may be the issue is when you are ready to shutdown your computer, hold the Shift key while clicking the Shutdown button.
