Dell XPS 15 9560 Audio problem headphones

Hi. I am having trouble solving my audio jack problem. When I first boot my laptop without anything plugged into the audio jack, audio plays out of the speakers normal. When I plug in headphones, audio plays through the headphones. When I unplug headphones, audio plays out of speakers. However, when the headphones are plugged back in, audio continues to play out of speakers and not headphones. The only solution I have found is restarting my laptop to reestablish audio through my headphones. I have tried uninstalling the Realtek drivers, looking for the Realtek audio manager in the task manager startup tab but there is no program there, and have updated BIOS, windows, and all other drivers. Thank you.

I am assuming windows 10 is on the computer.....

The Realtek driver is listed in Apps Settings or Programs And Features:

Type Settings onto search box, select Apps, click on Realtek driver to uninstall.

To reinstall: Click on your model number (XPS 9560) in link below:

Drivers & Downloads | Dell US

After, select Find Drivers in your Dell Product Support page, download/ install latest Realtek driver.

If the latest Realtek driver doesn't work well, install an older version of the Realtek driver:

Thanks you for the update.

By the way, I am looking forward to LSU beating Alabama this coming season.

Alabama lost a lot of good players to the NFL....yes indeed....

Hey,
I was facing the Audio problem in Dell Vostro 14 3401. The Realtek driver was showing errors at that time.

An error message was coming. I have used a free driver updater and now my audio is working properly is there any other way to do it? can we do it manually also?
