Dell XPS 9510 Windows 11 Start Menu not showing
Did a clean install of the public release Windows 11 on my XPS 9510 today.
The start menu won't open. Produces a crash for the startmenuexperiencehost.exe process in the Event Viewer - it can't be started. I tried reinstalling Windows 11 to no avail.
Tapping the start menu quickly 6-7 times will briefly show the start menu, which will then crash in less than a second.
Any ideas where to go from here?

So, in order to bring a response:
I solved this by disabling the Intel UHD graphics through devmgmt, and enabling it again. Nothing else. I've now got a Start Menu!

That's "a" response. Given that I've been on W11 since it went public beta without issue - I'm sure there's more to it.

Since I am not familiar with the 9510, could you tell us what you have checked for compatibility?
What type of drive you put in the system and did you change the SATA controller?
How exactly did you get the .iso and what did you do with it?
Edit: Are you running Optane Memory?

It's a bone stock 9510, i7-11800h, 16 gb memory, 512 gb nvme drive, rtx 3050 ti.
Just downloaded the ISO from Microsoft, ran setup.exe directly from the ISO, chose to delete everything, updated the Audio driver, disabled and re-enabled the Intel UHD device. That's all.

MS had problems with this in earlier builds. Try this page for help. Also this thread for suggestions that worked.

Thanks for the suggestion - the fix isn't on that page, though.

Thanks a lot !
It's working too for an Inspiron 5402 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
Just disable and enable it again through devmgmt
