Flashing LED light XPS13 2 in 1 9310
The light is flashing 3 amber 1 white which indicates CMOS battery failiure. i have been having problems with Laptop shutting off randomly while on main battery so i removed main battery and held power switch down and left battery disconnected for about an hour then re installed main battery,
Now LED is flashing that CMOS battery has failed. didnt do that before this (to be clear have not touched CMOS, dont even know where it is)
What do i do from here? is this a situation of doing some sort of a reset or is it to do with changing CMOS battery. and can CMOS even be changed on this

There is no reference to there being a CMOS battery in the service manual, meaning the main battery serves as CMOS backup as well as the system power supply. It sounds like it's either a faulty battery or a faulty system board that's causing the issue.

Changed battery still having same problem.
it now flashes just amber which i understand is battery not detected, then i unplug , it goes off then i reboot on battery after holding power button down for a bit. it boots up and shows my battery , lets say is 90 % i plug in now and it charges battery and it works fine on AC and battery is showing fine. i can use compiuter. i can now unplug AC and i can use computer for awhile on the battery (as i am now) then boom off again and i go thru the reboot process all over
i am typing this on battery now, but it may go off any moment . but if i plug in now it will be fine
. but when i tried to boot up on AC it would boot but show no battery detetected and if i unplug then would immediately go off
