Getting Dell XPS 13 (2015) running like new
Hello there,
I purchased my Dell XPS 13 in 2015 brand new and have loved it. I got it while in grad school and have since graduated. I installed a lot of random software for classes/projects while in school and am looking to give it a thorough scrub so I can use it efficiently for my post-grad life. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to best do this? Would resetting to factory defaults be recommended? Thank you in advance for your help!
Best,
Erin

What OS? A clean custom install of windows would be best. Use the Create Media tool for Windows 10 here to get the latest build- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you have not updated to Windows 10 consider updating now. Check your Dell Download page to see if there are any win 10 drivers for your model. Windows 7 will be unsupported by MS Jan 14 2020.

Hi Mary!
Thank you for the reply! Yes, I am running Windows on it. And yes, I have updated to Windows 10. Will a clean windows install get rid of any other software I have installed as well?
Thanks!

A clean installation will wipe everything, so you will need to backup your photos, etc to an external hard drive.
Create a bootable USB flash drive of Windows 10 v1903. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
You can do a clean installation by booting into Windows. Insert the USB flash drive. Double-click on setup.exe
Windows 10 may have all the drivers you need.
