Manual and software for Dell KB522 wired multimedia keyboard

My setup is: Dell XPS 13 (9380) laptop, Dell S2719DC monitor, Dell KB522 wired keyboard.

All attempts to source Dell software and manual for the KB522 keyboard have failed.

Dell online chat option advised me to email Dell support for advice, to no avail.

Please, could somebody point me in the right direction?

Thank you, Chris

Dell advise that they cannot help me with my KB522 keyboard issue.

Why? because the warranty on my XPS 13 laptop has expired!

Their logic escapes me! I do not need support for my laptop!

The keyboard and the laptop are distinctly separate units!

I use all Dell components and they have no good will towards me!

Very disappointed.

Welcome to the Dell Community @chrisp9au

I think the reason they could not help is because there are no manuals or drivers for KB522.

The keyboard should be Plug and Play.

Did the keyboard ship with any software???

Reading other posts it did not and there have been reports of problems due to Microsoft Updates.

Best regards and good luck,

U2

Thanks U2,

I've given up on this keyboard, the hotkeys/shortcuts are supposed to be programmable, but it isn't worth the hassle. Thanks anyway, Chris

@chrisp9au I have been trying to find a manual for this as well with no luck. If you are looking to re-bind your hotkeys/shortcuts I have found a solution for the "Mail" hotkey. I found this thread trying to figure it out. I accidently bound my "Mail" hotkey to a web browser when I first plugged it in, and it asked for a default app for that key, I thought I had hit the "Web" hotkey. Anyways, to switch this go to Windows> Settings> Apps> Default Apps> then go to whichever app you are trying to bind (It was Outlook for me)> Then scroll down to your "MAILTO" and change that to whichever app you would like it to open. It's probably too late for you but, hopefully this may help somebody, someday. Good luck!
