XPS 13 9370, USB Type-C port questions, #2
I been ordering a new Dell xps 13 (9370) I will receive it in 2 days.
I understand I will charge the computer with the Type C port , so I have 2 questions
1. If I have only 1 type c port and i charge my computer, i cant connect a mouse while charging?
2. Which things I can connect in the Thunderbolt 3 port? Can I charge the computer from this port?

The XPS 13 9370 has two USB-C/Thunderbolt ports on the left and one USB-C ports (with no Thunderbolt 3 support) on the right. I think you can connect the charger to any of those ports, but I'm not positive about that. Still, I don't see why you're worried about connecting a mouse while charging. If you're charging, you will still have 2 other ports that you can plug things into, although you might need a USB-C to USB-A adapter unless you have a mouse that has a USB-C connector. Another option you might want to look at is a "mini-dock" that plugs into a USB-C/TB3 port and gives you a variety of other ports that you might find useful, such as multiple USB-A ports, Ethernet, an SD card reader, HDMI output, etc. There are a variety of those on the market with different combinations of ports depending on what you need. Here is one example.
You can connect any USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 device to the Thunderbolt 3 ports on the left. At least one of those Thunderbolt 3 ports can be used to charge the system because Dell sells Thunderbolt 3 docks that can charge systems, and you would have to connect a Thunderbolt 3 dock to one of those ports.

The 9370 has three USB-C ports. There is one USB-C port on the right that doesn't support Thunderbolt. All three USB-C ports support two-way power.

I am awaiting arrival of my 9370 but I am outraged to find out that I did not do my due diligence and will only have 2 usable peripheral ports when plugged in (it will be 90% of the time). I read so many reviews and not one of them mentioned this. While it seems a thunderbolt port will support 4K video at 60Hz, I am not sure if the USB 3.1 will. Either way once I plug in the power and my monitor I only have one port and after wireless mouse and keyboard none. I know I can buy a hub but then why not just buy a slightly larger heavier computer with more and also full sized ports? Not many (name brand) hubs under $200 can provide 4K@60Hz. I am going to start shopping again and might cancel my order.
