New XPS 13 (9370) large gap at right hinge
To all new owners of the 9370, how are your hinges?
My just-received copy has a screen hinge that is not centered. What's weird is that the bezels match just fine between top and bottom when closed (flush side to side) but there is a very noticeable ~2mm gap on the right side such that the cable for the screen is even visible.
Right side (with gap)
Left side
Lid and base are flush with each other when closed...so it's not just a simple misalignment of the top and bottom pieces when assembled.
Anyone else run into this problem? Really sad to see this coming from such a "premium" computer.

Same here. I am on my third XPS 13 in the past 2 months. Every one of them had multiple issues. First one was 9360 with FHD screen and had a horrible coil whine, loose screen with a play of an inch. Second one was 4K 9370, again with coil whine, battery came with 9% wear on arrival and with minimum brightness and recommended battery settings battery would only last approximately 5hrs. Got a FHD 9370 now. Biggest coil whine of them all, battery wear at 7% on arrival, there is a gap at the right hinge, CPU gets up to 80C when watching videos on Youtube, popping sounds from the speakers. Returning this one as well. I am done with Dell.

You name it!
Dell's quality assurance is miserable, literally!
In the last 3 years I had several (about 6 or 7) XPS 13 notebooks. All of them had to a certain degree clearly noticeable coil whine, even the newest 9370 one. Some had problems with hinges, others had damaged fans, two had broken keyboard keys and three of them had dead pixels ...
Either I am somehow "cursed" or Dell's top management just gives a **** on the manufacturing quality.
At least the support is trying to do their best. Kudos to them!

Mines the same. My 9370 is to be replaced by Dell due to other issues - poorly fitted screen (bent down in top corners), power button that sticks as not centered properly and worst of all slow internet speed and drop-outs due to the Killer 1435 WiFi card on 5GHz (it doesn't even see 2.4GHz). Dell say updating to the latest Killer Driver will cure it but I'm far from convinced; I've seen no report online to suggest it's poor performance has been resolved. The best speed I've managed with the laptop right next to the router is around 15Mbs when my mobile will get nearly 50Mbps. Wired connection gets 75 Mbps.
The screen calibration on mine was appaling too and no amount of fiddling with the graphics controls would cure it. Fortunately I was able to calibrate it with an i1 Display Pro & now it looks pretty good. The other plus point is that you can now turn off DBC/CABC in BIOS on the FHD model too.
However, for what is supposed to be a flagship machine I'm surprised mine got through QC (is there any??).
And as for the Killer Wifi card, why do Dell keep persevering with it, there are loads and loads of complaints on line about it. The Dell drivers & downloads page has a driver for an Intel Wifi card suggesting some models have an Intel card instead but I was told I could not specify a replacement with one.

I have the same gap :(
Left back hinge
Left front hinge
Right back hinge
Right front hinge
I messaged Dell support this morning and told them I don't want to go through the process of sending my laptop back and forth as I've already sold my previous laptop and this is my only primary device while I am abroad studying. I demanded if they could compensate the hardware problem instead of upgrading my device but to provide additional accessories equivalent to the upgrade.
I hope they can compensate for their poor quality assurance somehow.

Just checked mine - no gap (thanks for providing the pictures).
Also no coil whine.
I got the Developer Edition with Ubuntu, FHD, 16 GB, 500 GB.

Just got my new 9370 i7/8GB/256GB yesterday, same issue. Quite a large gap on one side, but the lid and body are perfectly aligned. I also find the power button/fingerprintscanner very hard to press, at first I wasn't able to switch it on afraid pushing too hard.
Last thing that bothers me is the LED on the front: this is not lit when the device is turned on and not blinking when the device is in sleep mode. It only seems to light up when the battery is charged. Very strange and unneccesary confusing behaviour.
I have the first XPS13 (L321X) as well and this hasn't had any issues like described above. Although the new one has some nice improvements, I'm quite dissapointed as well with the build quality and firmware behaviour.

Did you hear back from them? Did they compensate you?
