Pioneer DDJ-FLX 6 controller on Rekordbox 6 not working with Dell XPS 9380
Hi, Guys
After spending more than 10 hours straight today trying to resolve the issue, I finally decided to post here, already feeling a little hopeless..
- I am trying to connect a Pioneer DDJ-FLX 6 DJ controller to my new Dell XPS 13 9380 on an Intel i7-8565U CPU and Windows 10
- I am using the Rekordbox 6 software (latest cut)
- The laptop does not recognize the controller at all, it only lights up its basic functions show the controller is powered, but is not recognized as a DJ controller
- When logging into Rekordbox software the only thing I can hear is the sound of constant connecting and disconnecting of the controller via the USB port when it eventually stops and the controller "plays dead"
I tried to implement all ways to tackle this, as suggested on several discussion boards, including:
- Using another USB port, another USB cable, etc.
- Reinstalling the BIOS and audio drivers (Realtek)
- Running a complete system update on Windows 10
- Removing the Maxx Audio application
- Reinstalling the older versions of the Realtek audio drivers
- Overriding the automatic Dell drivers auto-update and running it manually through all possible driver groups (incl. audio, USB ports, Thunderbolt, firmware, BIOS and everything else)
... and unfortunately, this far the only conclusion I was able to reach is that perhaps I will need to return the laptop...
Please advise as this has started to become really frustrating without any trace of how to solve the issue.
