PremierColor fails with error "Your system is not compatible"
Precision and XPS owners have reported that they cannot use Dell PremierColor as it fails with an on-screen error. Dell PremierColor installs onto your system but once the application tries to run it fails with an on-screen error message that the system is not compatible.
Dell PremierColor is a software application that gives you control over the color quality and the fine level of detail you require for your color-critical work. This is meant for those who work in CAD/CAM, graphic, game or animation design, video editing or media creation. It was created for use with Dell laptops and Precision Desktops.
We have identified that PremierColor v4.0 & v5.0 does not have in-built support for OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panels. If your system configuration includes an OLED panel, then you will get the system not compatible error. This support was not part of the design criteria when these versions were under development. PremierColor v6.0 is adding support for OLED Panels and is expected to be available from the mid-year of 2020.
