Selling my XPS 17 9710

I have decided to go back to another brand and the old ecosystem.  I am still enjoying my laptop a lot and have been running Linux on it to learn something different.  I have put the laptop up for sale and got some people interested and this brings me to an event that has me scratching my balding head.

Two weeks into owning this brand new laptop (purchased and activated on September 5, 2021) my screen would not turn on any more.  After trouble shooting the laptop was send to Dell and was repaired, no other information was given.

Tonight I am meeting with a buyer for the laptop, but he wanted to check the service tag to make sure the laptop had proper coverage.  I did not know this person worked for Dell, but soon after we looked at the database my tag number seemed to no longer be covered by warranty (the support site still shows warranty until 05 Sept. 2022).  What it also showed, according to the buyer named AJ from Toronto, Canada, is that the screen was never replaced but a refurbished laptop was send back to replace my new laptop.  Of course a refurbished device is sold at a reduced price, and having paid the full price at the store I am highly agitated that:

1. The system seems to no longer be under warranty according to Dell internal databases

2. That I was send a product at a lower value to replace my brand new laptop.

I would like to have someone from Dell contact me at their convenience to clear up this issue.  I am selling a great laptop, that is working flawlessly.  I hate to be considered a crook and accused of selling a lesser value product.
