Wont charge xps 9575
1. One of the two charger ports on the left side has stopped working (it wont charge most of the time). Is there any way of replacing it without having to replace the whole motherboard?
2. Any tips on how to avoid the last remaining charging port going bad? Should plug in power before connecting the charger to the laptop for example?

There is an I/O board listed in the service manual -- if it has the ports on it, that can be replaced separately.
If the ports are on the system board, the only repair would be a replacement mainboard.

The most important thing is to be gentle in connecting and disconnecting the charger -- if one port works and the other one does not, chance are the port is physically rather than electrically damaged.

The charging ports are on the motherboard. Its the ports on the right side that can be replaced I believe. But I suppose one can only use the ports on the left to charge
