XPS 13 7390, Zoom, microphone not working, #3
I have been having the same issue and after months of contacting them, remote sessions, and useless emails, they have not resolved anything. I am a teacher using Zoom to teach remotely and I purchased this laptop in order to have a reliable laptop for teaching. Since the microphone constantly fades in and out on almost ALL programs (Zoom, Google Hangouts, Seesaw, Screencastify, etc.) or doesn't work at all, I am unable to do my job properly. I am never buying a Dell again and will be back with Apple ASAP. This is absurd.

Join the club. We also have the same issue. Every fix is temporary. There is something inherently wrong with these 2-1 one laptops. I also have an issue of my screen becoming scrambled at random times. This is from day 1. We have wasted an enormous amount of hours with unhelpful tech support making us do the same idiotic troubleshooting over and over. There are enough people the post on many forums that have our same issues, with NO resolution. To top it all off, their refusal to correct their defective hardware negatively impacts our job and education performance.

I am having the exact same issue, my microphone is fading in and out and people tell me they can't hear me. This is not a problem with my earbuds because this happens without my earbuds plugged in as well. I also have not received any long term solutions from Dell tech support.

I could actually fix this after multiple re-installation for the driver.
People still sometimes tell me that my voice looks suddenly as if I'm far then suddenly becomes too loud. Not sure if it's a network issue, but at least it works.

This issue has just arisen in this laptop which Ive had for over almost 2 years. Out of the blue.
People complain that the sound goes in and out on Zoom. I have done undertaken the windows updates and the driver updates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom. Not fixed.
Can anyone help please?
