XPS 13 9310, charge light blinks
I have bios settings to charge the battery when below 50% and stop at 90%. When my XPS 13 9310 Developer Edition is between those values and not charging, the charging light on the front edge of the laptop will blink. Every few minutes it will come on for a few seconds. It's annoying.

And as we end the 4th week of May, we continue to wait for the BIOS update we were promised in the 1st week of May.

So, they've closed my case claiming a fix is being tested while providing no evidence. If there is a fix being tested, why would they not ask one of the original reporters of the issue who also happens to have 35 years of software development in their background to participate in a beta?
Here's the bottom line: I don't believe you. You have provided zero evidence that would earn my belief.
What you have provided is haphazard, random guessing under the guise of tech support, empty promises and missed deadlines that you, yourself set.
This whole experience has been ridiculous. Anyone who would buy a product from Dell and subject themselves to it is mad. I wish I had looked in this forum before making a purchase.

Ha! I was asked to fill in a survey to provide feedback about this support experience. You can be sure I did just that.

Hello @Dell-Geoffrey R
Could you please give us an update on the release date of the fix?
The issue has been raised several months ago and we are still waiting for information and a release date.
Could you please provide us a proof that engineering is actively working on the fix?
My SR has also been closed weeks ago and the deal was to still give me the possibility to return the product if no fix was provided before the end of May. Now it is june and I need to take my decision.
That 's why I'm asking you if I can count on a fix to be released soon or if it won't happen.
Thanks.
Regards,
Sébastien

Same issue here!
I can confirm that disabling turbo boost prevents the issue from occurring.
So Dell, when will the the new firmware version be released?

I think this whole thing is really absurd. Dell, this is your flagship product and your customers want to hear what the status is on the fix. And if you cannot fix a serious design flaw like this, kindly at least acknowledge that... Otherwise one cannot help but wonder whether your silence is cynically motivated.

And another week goes by. The fix promised in the first week of May still isn't here as we close the second week of June.

Same issue for me. Fixed only when limiting the turbo boost frequency via ThrottleStop.

Same problem on my Dell 9310. The problem has existed from day zero. I am worried this might be affecting the battery life of my laptop.
Dell, can you provide a timeline for the fix?

I would appreciate it if someone from Dell could tell us something about it.

Same problem here. It was perfect with my previous 9380 model - charged to 95% and if plugged in no light, no charging I assume and simply AC power.
It's a shame that such product has this stupid issue.
