XPS 13 9360 buzzing and not charging when plugged in

This morning i got up and saw that my laptop needed to charge so I plugged in the charger and noticed a buzzing sound, through experimentation i realized that it it was only making the noise when it was plugged in and turned on. I decided to let it charge while it was off, upon turning it back on i realized, that it isn't charging even though when i mouse over the battery symbol it says its charging, the percentage isn't going up at all.

This could be an issue either with the DC-in port or the motherboard. If the system is under warranty, please private message the service tag along with the registered name & email address.

If the warranty has expired, you can contact the out of warranty team from this link

Thank you for your message. Are you using the original AC adapter shipped with the computer?

What is the BIOS version installed?

What is the status of the AC adapter & battery in BIOS?  Does it say plugged in not charging?

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Dell-Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

How to find the service tag

This could be an issue with the AC adapter, dc in port or the motherboard. Does the status in BIOS change if you wiggle the AC adapter cable?

Is there any damage like a bent pin in the AC adapter port?

Please try using another compatible charger if available & check if the issue persists.

No change to BIOS after wiggling the AC adapter.

I personally don't see any bent pins.

When using other chargers there is no buzzing and they say plugged in, not charging. The original charger seems to be the only one that causes buzzing and says charging but isn't.
