XPS 15 9520 Type-C 3.2 Port Fail After Bios Update

My machine went through a bios update today and my Type-C 3.2 port stopped working afterwards. Here is the version I am on currently:

BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. 1.5.0, 7/13/2022

Any ideas how to make the port work again?

Issue resolved after a shutdown and fresh start.

Good work!

There are two ways to resolve USB-C no function issue:
1. Disconnect the DA20 USB-C to USB-A/HDMI adapter, shut down and then power on the system. The USB-C function will return. Then reconnect the adapter.
2. The September 13, 2022 BIOS 1.6.0 should also fix this issue.

Mine is still on Firmware and BIOS v1.4.0 (6-9-2022). In fact, I didn't even know v1.5.0 was recently released.

What if you manually download the installer (un-block it) and then run it. Do all the various firmware versions match in the two columns. Be sure to scroll-down and check the Thunderbolt Ports.
