XPS 15 9550 Replacement

I have been a Dell customer for a while and I have become fed up with how they're treating their customers. The XPS 15 9550 needs to be recalled.

Too many customers are suffering from this swollen battery problem, and it is extremely irresponsible of Dell for not having notified ALL of its customers, and for not offering immediate replacements. Dell is honestly expecting customers to wait from 2-8 weeks in order to make their devices usable? This is disgusting practice.

No, I don't want to wait for you to correct a mistake which you knowingly didn't tell me about.

I would like to receive a replacement device. All of the 9550 customers deserve one.

It is unreasonable to expect a system replacement for a battery failure.  Dell is replacing the batteries in these even out of warranty, but as with any other product warranty extension, it can't be done overnight - just look at those waiting for replacement airbags.  The supply has to catch up with the demand.

Not all of these systems have faulty batteries - and one way or another, most batteries of this design will eventually swell at end of life -- it's a problem Apple users have had for years, and which is now affecting PC owners, since manufacturers started shipping systems with no-case battery cells a few years ago.

My battery on my M3800 leaked and fried the motherboard.  When I called in, they said that they don't have a record of batteries leaking and refused to do anything.  I eventually got a 10% discount on a new XPS.

I too have a swell battery and find it difficult to get replacement from Dell. Very disappointed. Would never buy Dell product again.
