XPS 15 9560 Thunderbolt port working randomly
Hello all,
The Thunderbolt port on my XPS 15 9560 has been pretty erratic since June. I can't connect my external hard drives but I can connect a cheap LAN adapter. I saw some users were having similar issues and it might be linked to the 1.19.2 BIOS or the Windows 10 2004 update. Either way, when I uninstalled the update, the port was still not working.
I thought there might be an issue with the drivers from my hard drives but they work properly when connected through regular USB port.
Anyone else had that issue or figured out a way out of it?

hi,
i have the same issue. I connect an external sandisk SSD. at first, it gets recognized but after a few moments the windows disappears and the HD doesn't show up anywhere anymore, same thing happens using different cables and with other harddrives. Same HD works perfectly if connected to the standard USB port. my xps 15 is always up to date through the "support assist" app. It would be nice to have some help. thanks
