XPS 15 9570, Dell Fusion Service, Dell Power Manager Service
I have a XPS 15 9570 and I noticed that in the recent Drivers and Update, there is now something called Fusion Service at which appears to install something called My Dell. However, it seems the system originally used Dell Power Manager Service which can no longer be installed as the installer will say that My Dell has been installed. My question is should one install Fusion Service or should one install Dell Power Manager Service? Is there any features that Dell Power Manager Service has that is missing in My Dell? Thanks!

On the My Dell Fusion Service driver download page under Important Information it states =
The Fusion Service is needed for My Dell and My Alienware 1.8 or greater.
So if you are running those apps, yes, uninstall Dell Power Manager Service and install My Dell Fusion Service.

Hello, I see you are looking for technical assistance. If you need our help, use the "Get Help Now" option at the bottom right to chat with a Dell technician right away.

Not really looking for technical assistance but this should be something Dell should provide a public response to as the system shipped with Power Manager Service but when you look at the drivers, both Power Manager Service and Fusion Service are saying both should be installed except in reality, only one can be installed. It would help if there was something to illustrate the differences between the two.

I have the same issue.
I would like to know exactly what is this new "Fusion Service" offered in Drivers & Downloads.
(Please don't ask for Service tag as it is irrelevant)

It seems Dell wants us to replace Dell Power Manager with MyDell because the change-log of Dell Power Manager Service v3.10 says:
"Added the option in the Dell Power Manager installer to uninstall Dell Power Manager version 3.10 when MyDell version is 1.8.35, 1.9.2, or later."
If Dell Power Manager still works for you, stay with it.
