XPS 15 9570 mic quality issue

I am having a lot of trouble with internal microphone quality of my XPS 15. The issue seems to persists even when I use an external mic. It picks up a lot of noise which probably comes from the fan of the computer? And I've been told my voice does not sound loud enough.

I was wondering if anyone has an advice for getting this fixed!
