XPS 15 9575 Keyboard and touchpad issues
I have a huge problem with keyboard and touchpad, they're now working. After a few months of usage, touchpad started freezing and then disabled. Then, the same happened with the keyboard. I went through Device Manager and found out that the problem is in Human Interface Devices (I guess, still I'm not sure), there's an error on I2C HID device on Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - A161 (error code 10: A request for the HID descriptor failed). By the way, date of all HID drivers is somehow 2006.
After figuring it out, I've tried following solutions:
1. Updating driver from Device Manager (it says that the best driver is already installed)
2. Uninstalling device (didn't help, after refreshing, same error ocurred)
3. Installing drivers from third-party, such as, driverpack, drvceo, and so on (worked for several days and then, the same problem)
4. Disabling driver's signature checking (no changes)
5. Downgrading/upgrading BIOS (somehow worked, but after some time, again)
6. Reinstalling Windows (helped in the beginning, and then, same)
I suppose, it's a software issue because, for instance, when openning boot menu or BIOS, everything is working properly, but right after Windows started, it happens again.
Could you please suggest something, I'm really tired of this laptop, it seems that the majority of Dell products have problems with software, every single person with dell product, I know, faces various problems, always. Please, help me, I've tried everything, I just want to fix it and bring it back to initial condition, when it was working excellent.

I've had the same problem with my touchpad. I have a XPS 15 9560 though. The touchpad stopped working all of a sudden then I updated my BIOS and it worked for a little bit (unsure if this actually solved it) but now it's back to not working.
The touchpad can only be seen in the device manager when "show hidden devices" is selected. It appears that the computer thinks the touchpad is disconnected as the "touchpad" settings in Windows Settings are gone as well.
