XPS 17 9700 touchpad driver?
My touchpad is no longer rejecting palm touches, and I can't find a driver for it or any settings whatsoever.
Turning the Windows 10 touchpad sensitivity down to low doesn't help.

This does not appear to be fixed. Today I have been looking for any touchpad driver that provides a user interface for toggling the setting for palm rejection (also known as Touchguard).
My reason is that I wish to turn this OFF as it makes editing in photoshop almost impossible; editing requires that you hold a key down and move the mouse at the same time, and palm rejection prevents this.
I have checked the Dell Support site for drivers for my model however there is no dedicated driver for Touchpad that I can find.
There are very many historic posts on the Dell forums dating back to 2012, as well as Reddit posts, but none are up-to-date and none have the correct solution for this.
Please help as a matter of urgency; this high end laptop which is targeted at media professionals cannot be used for basic photoshop editing

Dell's drivers download page for XPS 17 9700 has an ELAN Touchpad Firmware Update. Did you install that
Otherwise, recent Dell models no longer need touchpad drivers from Dell. They use drivers provided by Windows Update.
Try going into Touchpad settings, set Touchpad sensitivity to Most Sensitive. If you don't see that, look for a setting called TouchCheck or PalmCheck or palm tracking or palm detect and either disable it or set it to the lowest setting.
Perhaps this will be of some use: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000123353/touchpad-usage-and-troubleshooting-guide?lwp=rt

So I'm afraid that, right now, I'm stuck with a very expensive toy that I can't edit images on-the-go with. I have to restrict my editing to the studio where I have a Wacom pen, which has its own driver with advanced settings.
What an oversight, and what a shame that Dell have allowed the dumbing down of drivers on systems they manufacture.
