XPS 9365 consistent BSOD problems

Hello,

I have a XPS 9365 that has been experiencing issues with BSOD relatively consistently since July. The latest Windows update (1903) has appeared to make the issues much worse. I recently reinstalled windows in an attempt to fix the consistent BSOD, but the Dell standard windows recovery image had somehow been corrupted, so I had to use  the Windows ISO file made from the windows creation tool. Install went fine until Windows finished installing when the lack of proper drivers caused consistent crashing. Installing Dell SupportAssist made these issues inifinitely more intense where the computer struggled to run for 30 seconds before encountering any number of BSOD. When I realized that the SupportAssist programs had been causing issues for some users on this latest version of Windows, I reinstalled Windows again and left SupportAssist off, choosing to download drivers manually from Dell.

This has solved many of the errors that I was getting previously, but there still seems to be a BSOD that I cannot fix, even after updating all of the drivers. Accoridng to WhoCrashed the BSOD are still occuring due to ntosknrl.exe and wdf01000.sys. I have tried a couple of other solutions I have found researching around such as running memtest (all passes cleared just fine) and some Windows diagnostic tools which all report that the hardware in the computer is working just fine. I am out of ideas at this point so any suggestions are welcomed. I have attached a link to the system information as well as some of the more recent minidump files.

Thanks.

Saltgrass,

Thanks for the reply. I installed Windows from a USB drive that contained the Windows 10 ISO file created using the Windows media creation tool. I completely wiped the hard drive in the process. I didnt save any data or programs.

I have seen other posts about the standby issues but the blue screens were not occurring when the system went into hibernation or sleep, so I am not so sure that would fix the issue.

From a different help forum, I was recommended to update the Realtek Video Driver. Using the latest driver (tried both the generic Windows 10 and the one specific to Dell) did not stop the BSOD, but updating the driver from the Dell drivers and downloads page did fix the issues even though that driver is outdated now.

One of your dump files names the MRT.exe.  Others show as below.

"The power policy manager experienced a fatal error."

How did you do the clean install on your system?

Have you checked for any firmware updates for the M.2 drive?

Some folks with the modern standby systems have, in the past, made changes to the registry to alter that operation.  Did you ever make such a change?
