XPS camera suddenly missing
My built in Webcam is suddenly completely missing. It's not showing up in device manager and the camera app says there is no camera detected and gave me an error code of F0xA004244. My computer has also started restarting out of the blue. Sometimes it stays on for 5 seconds, sometimes 20 minutes. Needless to say, this is a disaster for my work life. This JUST started today. Can anyone help me out?

This page at drivereasy may help. But I would not install driver easy. I dislike any program that auto installs drivers with no user input. I like to know what Is installing on my systems.

Model number please ??
- perform a hard reset : Hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Better if you can do the same step with battery disconnected
- check in BIOS : Some XPS models have camera cut off switch in BIOS.
- No need of driver installation, Camera is a generic device and should get detected automatically. Also check device manager and see if there are any unknown devices under other devices
