built in web cam failed for VOSTRO 3590
can anybody show how the camera is not showing under device manager and also the drivers are not available? how to make the webcam work?? DELLs support site is pathetic and does not have a listed issue for this

Are you certain that you have a webcam? On some laptops a webcam was optional.
Under Windows 10 and 11, your webcam drivers will likely be installed by Windows Update or by Windows.
If your webcam doesn't work after running Windows Update (and checking in options for driver updates), look in in Device Manager under Imaging devices or Cameras to see if a device is listed there. If needed, you can right-click the device and under the Details tab you can find Hardware IDs that you can search for to help to identify the device.
