Okay, this is one of two problems I'm currently having with my Alienware M17 R4. I recently THOUGHT I updated to the newest BIOS version. Despite me trying to install the new version of February 18th which I believe is version 1.2.4. However, after installing the only version I can get off of the support page, it does not update to 1.2.4. but instead keeps 1.2.3. No matter how many times I've tried I cannot get this BIOS update to install the correct version and now it's causing other problems for my laptop simply because I don't have the latest version. Is this a problem on Dell's side? I really need an answer soon as my laptop is starting to suffer from it.
