x14 R1, issues with Windows Hello, screen timeout
Hello Community,
I have just received the Alienware x14 R1 today. Completed the setup and had a few challenges. One of them is with the Windows 11 Hello, when enabled, it keeps looking for my face, even when I am not around. This results in the screen being on / off regularly. However, once I have turned off the function and just use PIN instead, no issue. Only when this is turned on. I have other laptop using Windows 11 and Hello and having no similar issue. The other laptop is Surface Laptop 2. Please can I have some suggestions as I have tried all multiple ways from uninstalling, disabling things from device manager, etc. to no avail. I am just a bit irritated by the fact that the screen (in screen lock mode ), keeps looking for me and when it can't it would turn itself off for less than 1 min, and switch one then start looking again. The Red LEDs also bugging me a lot.
This particular one is about the screen timeout that simply doesn't work, even after I set it to a particular time. Tried both from the control panel Power settings as well as advance power options. Also tried checking which apps that would be consuming / requesting the screen to switch on, but didn't help still even after the list of the apps have been exhausted.
Inputs on resolutions please anyone ?

Hi @RamaIndrawan welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Please have a look at Troubleshooting the Timeout Detection and Recovery feature within Windows | Dell US and How to Fix Windows Hello Not Working on Windows 11 [3 Ways] (partitionwizard.com)
