We have installed a new enviroment with Avamar 7.2.

Actually I'm checking out all possibilities and plugins to back up our SQL cluster systems.

In our old Avamar enviroment we had already the MSSQL plugin in use but now there is a new option in the wizard.

First you have to select a var directory who has to be locally. Then you have to select a sysdir directory who has to be a UNC path.

For what is this sysdir share needed? with older versions of avamar we hadn't to give a UNC path.

Can somebody explain me for what this sysdir directory is?

As I remember the var directory is for logs and some config files. but the sysdir?

In the Avamar SQL Server user guide I havn't found anything.
