We have a CX3-40 and we cannot IP the first SPA. During a re-IP using clariion_mgmt, the script failed. SPA rebooted but came back up without an IP. Whenever we go into SPB via Navisphere and attempt to change the IP it always comes back blank, even after reboots. It seems as if SPA will not hold an IP address.
We have opened one as we have never been able to successfully get the SPs IP'd properly. Within the Celerra Manager it shows unmanaged for the IP field. The exact error was that it couldn't add a public address via proxy arp. I found that we were trying to use an IP that didn't exist on the same subnet as the CS management IP. Once I actually used clariion_mgmt and set spa and spb to the same subnet it attempted to work, rebooting SPA and then hanging on starting the Celerra Software on the SPA, at that point it never recovered and we have since not been able to re-IP it via the Navisphere. Even across reboots the SPA comes back up without an IP address.
Definitely. In the Navisphere the Network tab is all blank. When I click on the Network tab it takes quite a while for it to pop up ~2 mins. Once the network tab is displayed the IP and DNS name are blank, when I add them in and click Apply, then OK and then re-open the properties I go through the same motions again. The Network tab takes a while to load and then the settings are once again blank. I have a feeling something was changed within the XP system that is the underlying OS of the SPs.

Thanks for your quick responses though.
