Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this...and how on earth did you fix it?!
I purchased my laptop in July, production and delivery issues meant that I didn't receive it until September. Since then, Dell have taken the money and then reversed the payment 5 times, the latest reversal being just this morning!
2 weeks ago I then received an email claiming to be from Dell Collections requesting financial information via email - the email had all the hallmarks of phishing with poor spelling, poor use of language and requesting financial information, so I raised a ticket. After multiple attempts at asking nicely, they have been unable to confirm if the email was genuine and customer care just keep telling me to reply to the email without confirming if it's genuine.
For reasons of security (man in the middle attacks) I refuse to provide financial details by email especially as we have a ticket portal via which to communicate with Dell.
The money has been taken and returned 5 times now....it's driving my accounting software nuts!! If this has happened to anyone else, were you able to resolve it, and how did you do it?
