Dell returns, wrong replacement twice

Code of Conduct, violations removed. DELL-Admin>

Welcome to my world, the nightmare of returning and replacing Laptops with Dell. They sent me the wrong replacement laptop TWICE. Dell phone people are following scripts. I wonder what their salaries are like. My XPS is a and it's less than a year old.

Oh, definitely don't upgrade to another Dell. Mine is the worst computer I've ever owned and the only one that has ever needed a repair in less than 7 year of use. I just got hung up on by the "elevation team" at Dell who are unwilling to negotiate a settlement for my new xps 13 9310 which has had three parts replaced within the warrantee period.

Dude, welcome to my world of Dell Disappointment. I wish I'd known before I purchased my XPS 13 9310 how much trouble, pain and suffering and exhaustion it would cause. I should have returned it shortly after purchase for a full refund. I cannot afford to lose another minute of productivity relying on Dell. Dell Customer Care is unmoved by any of this. They have my money already, so they don't need to do anything else.

Yes, the best way to deal with Dell parts issues to not have ever bought a Dell to begin with. This is the wisdom that one year of owning an XPS has given me. I have had PCs since 1994. This is the only one that has ever required a single replacement, with most of them used for 7 or more years. This one has had screen, trackpad and motherboard replaced in the first 11 months.

I recommend that you replace the motherboard. If it is under warrantee, I would insist on it.

LOL, I had that problem, along with at least three others, and then we replaced the screen, the trackpad, and the motherboard. All that in the first 11 months.

Oh yeah, I had that problem, couldn't fix it. Then the motherboard failed. XPS 139310 looked like the perfect laptop. When something seems too good to be true, trust your doubts. This is exactly the deal with XPS 13 9310.

My recommendation, after having spent my first year of ownership diagnosing, repairing and replacing and clean-reinstalling, after monitor, trackpad and motherboard failed, is for you to return for a refund if it is still possible. You are only at the beginning of your struggle with the hellish XPS. The sooner you end that and get a more reliable brand, the better. I ended up having to buy a second laptop (Lenovo) because I cannot risk losing anymore productivity and data. END DELL.

Will Dell give you an extended warrantee? I can answer that: No. I attempted to negotiate on that and they are dead inside. "I cannot do that." The $178 that it costs, is just TOO MUCH FOR THEM. And they are fairly certain that I will end up buying it myself because I believe that this is just the beginning of my hardware problems. They may instead insult you by smugly offering you a $100 credit toward another Dell purchase, as if you will ever buy from them again. If I can credit it to the cost of the warrantee extension, then it will be useful.

Everyone loves the XPS because it checks all the boxes. Well guess what: it is too good to be true. They cannot deliver the reliability that is so necessary and expected.

I am having the same problems, except mine is less than one year old and it has had a heart, lung and brain transplant already (monitor, trackpad, motherboard/hard drive). I've had to get myself a backup laptop so I have redundancy. I can't risk more interruptions. Shame that I didn't return this beautiful pile of junk for a refund after the first week which was one catastrophe after another. I would have saved myself more than forty hours of labor dealing with this.
