Inspiron 3000 initial setup
So my parents have been using a decommissioned Dell Optiplex desktop that was originally designed for Windows Vjsta with an intel Core 2 duo. It’s showing signs of reaching its end got it to run windows 10 but it’s limping.
I used my Dell preferred account and ordered an Inspiron 3000 laptop with a Dell D3100 universal dock since they want to be able to use an external monitor and have access to more ports. When they arrive tomorrow according to fedex should I do the initial windows 11 setup and other updates before connecting it to the dock or does that not matter? I just want to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
Thanks

gb755cs,
You should setup the system before connecting and setting up the dock. Also, make sure you update the docks firmware if one if available from here.
