My dell inspiron 3541 has a continuous 5 beeps forever, even in the operating system. I've replaced the CMOS battery and I don't think that's the problem, the system clock seems to be fully functional. I do not understand what's causing this error. I've tried support assist diagnostics, preboot diagnostics, and even memtest and they all report no errors. It's so annoying I had to unplug the speaker system from the motherboard to make it stop. Since then, I used the computer daily for months and it works perfectly fine. I plugged the speakers back in to see if the problem has gone away and it still hasn't. Before I did that, I clean installed windows, updated all the drivers, and updated the bios and the problem still persists. I'm sick of taking the entire laptop apart over and over trying to fix a computer that's not broken.
