Dell 7400 Audio Driver Causing Windows Boot loop
Team,
We purchased over 100 Dell Latitude 7400s that were imaged with both Windows 10 LTSC 1809 and Windows 10 -2004. I was successful in imaging all of the laptops, but now both operating systems are experiencing audio related issues. The audio issue on hand, disables the audio output of the computer. The troubleshooting steps that I took was to update the Realtek Audio Driver directly from Dell. After updating the audio driver and restarting the computer, the computer boots into the Dell splash screen and idles there for hours before it gets into the Windows login screen and the audio issue remains. To fix the problem a second time, I was able to download and install an older audio driver that temporarily fixes the issue, but after a few months of successfully working, the audio issue reoccurred. Again, when I tried updating the audio related issue with the latest audio driver from Dell's website, the computer will indefinitely boot loop into the Windows Splash screen. A few hours later, the computer will again boot into the windows login page, then I was able to re-install an old proven audio driver that works. Dell team, what do you recommend to permanently fix this audio issues thus preventing our end users from not being able to work from their assigned work computer.
