I’ve got a dell latitude e6410 laptop that was given to me by a friend and it came with a BIOS password. I attempted a number of passwords without success. So I contacted him for the password and had it. On turning the computer on, I realized that the built in keyboard was no longer working. When I connect an external keyboard and turn the computer on, it displays the password prompt just for three seconds and shuts down. I’m don’t have ample time to type in the password.
