Latitude E6440 - Invalid Service Tag
Hello all,
I recently was given a Latitude E6440 as a gift from family and was trying to register it with dell, but it seems like it will tell me "Invalid Service Tag" every time I try to.
Is there anything I can do to get this fixed so I can register it?

The service tag can be read by the Dell support site. Support | Dell US
If the motherboard has been replaced it will show that error.
There is no use in registering an 8 year old computer anyway. That is only for new computers or used computers still under warranty. You don't need to register to use the Dell sites.
