[AW18] Windows 10 GPU Driver issues
Good evening,
As above, I am having issues with windows 10 GPU drivers. I am running dual R9 M290x while installing the latest drivers from AMD. Microsoft has this "Brilliant" idea to force auto updates and continuously installs older drivers; which in turn stops my crimson software from working properly. I have since these same drivers from Microsoft since I bought this laptop with windows 8.1 and it just causes headaches. At least on windows 8.1 they were not forced. Currently I have disabled manufacturer updates under systems hoping this will fix things. Has anyone had this issue or can anyone shed some light?
Thanks

Hi,
So Microsoft installs older video drivers on top of your new drivers? What you did you should prevent the issue.

Hi,
No, it shouldn't prevent other important updates. Click here to view an article from Microsoft that explains how to choose how updates are installed.

My fingers are crossed; each reinstall Microsoft always puts there driver back on. I'm just hoping this does not prevent any other useful updates for other hardware drivers? From my understanding, when you go to systems and disable drivers from manufacturer, it is suppose to ask what you would like to do with driver updates (download, ask what to do, do nothing etc), I was not given that menu.
