After a clean install of windows, and installation of all applicable drivers from support.dell.com, I am left with a laptop that has a few issues.

The most important is that AlienFX will not change the color of my system lights.

They are stuck on white, which is what I had before the system rebuild.

The AlienFX component of Alien Control Center pops up.  The OSD shows the happy icon, and when I right click the mini alien head in the system tray, it shows the all of the correct menu options.  When I select go dark, a popup appears and says going dark but it disappears and goes away.  When I select quick change to a color, same popup looks like its working and then nothing.

I have installed all of the Alien specific applications 3 times thinking that maybe I did not install them in the correct order. 

Please tell me someone out there has run into this and can assist.
