My computer crashed about an hour ago and upon starting it up it tells me
No boot device available
SATA 0 : None
SATA 1 : None
SATA 2 : None
SATA 3 : None
It will not let me access the boot menu through the boot screen
My computer is a 2005-06 Dell Insprion with windows 7

Thank you for replying. I would request you to run the Pre-Boot System Assessment (PSA / ePSA) Diagnostics to check the functionality of the hardware components installed in the system. Run the test and check if gives any error code. Note down the error code and update me with the same, would let you know the next course of action.

Drive is dead.
Windows failed to start. A Recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your langugae settings, and then click next
3. Click "repair your computer."
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

It will not let me access the pre boot system when i press f12 it just "starts" like it has been

I am not sure if we still have the installation disc, we have had this computer since about 2006-7 and we have not needed to use it. Not to mention the we have moved twice with this computer so we may have lost it

I do have an installation disc but now my disc drive isnt working. It will not open by pressing the button an when I open it manually the drive will not run

Sounds like the drive failed. You'll probably need to buy a new one and load Windows and software on it.
Hope your personal files are backed up on external media...
