I have a Dimension 8200,  I had to have Windows Me re-installed. Now, my problem is when I play a game, Homeworld, for instance, the game music plays loud and clear, but the sound effects are barely audible. I`ve tried re-installing the drivers, No luck. I have integrated sound. I did re-install SoundMax, and the sound effects came back, not like they used to be, but when turned on PC the next day, effects were gone again. Can any one suggest a solution? Dell tech support wasn`t able to help. Thanks
