card reader random failures....

have the front mounted 16-1 card reader , it randomly fails to work, now even showing listed under my computer, then other times it list all the slots as seperate drives

 

 

its random thats my problem..

 

any ideas for a fix???

    What PC model? Is it the bluetooth reader or the other one?

    I had the same issue.

    I shut down, unplugged the reader's cable from both the reader and I/O board and plugged them back in nice and snug, and rebooted.

    It's been OK since then (knock wood).

    its the non-bluetooth version, i just finished reading your 3 threads on the card reader, tried a few things along the way still no luck
