Problem #1 A few months ago I purchased an E521 AMD Athlon 3800+ X2, 1 gig RAM, 160 GB HD, nVidia 7300 LE. I purchased a game called Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth for it. For the first few weeks I could run the game on the highest settings and it would perform smoothly. Then one day I couldn't even run the game on the lowest settings. I tried every performance test and virus scan you can think of. Contacted Dell support and all they did was tell me to re-install it... so I did that for the 7th time literally and it did nothing of course. I can run games the require 1ghz or lower CPU speed so my first thought was that maybe one of the cores was bad. But all the tests I ran on the CPU said they were both fine. From all that I have done I think its either the CPU, a bad hard drive, or a virus I cant find. Its not just the one game that runs slow either by the way. Anything above 1 ghz runs slow. Is there a way I can fix this problem without having to spend a lot of money? Problem #2 My screen goes black when I visit random websites or try and run Limewire. I can still see and move the cursor but the screen wont come back on so I have to push the power button on the tower to turn it off. These problems are pretty frustrating since this is a pretty new computer and shouldn't be having these performance issues with its current hardware. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks. Kyle
