Here`s a strange one.....When I try to format a non write protected floppy, after about 10 seconds of trying a message states that "windows was unable to complete the format"

The dell pc can read and write to the same disk as long as I have formated it on another machine.

If I then try to reformat it on the dell pc the same thing happens....if i then try to read it, it states the the floppy is unformatted and asks me if i want to format it....then the whole thing starts again.

Very strange.....any help & advice would be appreciated.
